A man began to sink a well, but having dug down to a depth of twenty cubits, he could not find any trace of water there. So he gave up that site and selected another spot for the purpose. There he dug still deeper, but even then could not find any water. So he selected yet another site and dug deeper
than before, but it was also of no avail.
At last in utter disgust he gave up the task altogether.
The total depth of all these three wells was only a little short of one hundred cubits. Had he the patience to devote even half of the whole of this labour to his first well instead of changing the site again and again, he would surely have succeeded in getting water.
The same is the case with men who continually change their faith.
IN ORDER TO SUCCEED WE HAVE TO DEVOTE OURSELVES WHOLEHEARTEDLY TO ONE OBJECT OF FAITH WITHOUT BEING IN THE LEAST DOUBTFUL AS TO ITS WORTH.
– Sayings of Sri Ramakrishna. (528).
Only Self prevails.
No division in Consciousness is admissible at any time as it is always one and the same. Even the individuality of the Jiva must be known as false, like the delusion of a snake in a rope.
As through the ignorance of the real nature of the rope the very rope appears in an instant as a snake, so also does pure Consciousness appear in the form of the phenomenal universe without undergoing any change.
There exists no other material cause of this phenomenal universe except Brahman. Hence this whole universe is but Brahman and nothing else.
From such declaration (of the Shruti) as “All this is Atman”, it follows that the idea of the pervaded and the pervading is illusory. This supreme truth being realized, where is the room for any distinction between the cause and the effect ?
Certainly the Shruti has directly denied manifoldness in Brahman. The non-dual cause being an established fact, how could the phenomenal universe be different from It ?
Moreover, the Shruti has condemned (the belief in variety) in the words, “The person who”, being deceived by Maya, “sees variety in this (Brahman), goes from death to death”.
Inasmuch as all beings are born of Brahman, the supreme Atman, they must be understood to be verily Brahman.
The Shruti has clearly declared that Brahman alone is the substratum of all varieties of names, forms and actions.
Just as a thing made of gold ever has the nature of gold, so also a being born of Brahman has always the nature of Brahman.
Fear is attributed to the ignorant one who rests after making even the slightest distinction between the Jivatman and the Paramatman.
When duality appears through ignorance, one sees another; but when everything becomes identified with the Atman, one does not perceive another even in the least.
In that state when one realizes all as identified with the Atman, there arises neither delusion nor sorrow, in consequence of the absence of duality.
The Shruti in the form of the Brihadaranyaka has declared that this Atman, which is the Self of all, is verily Brahman.

Block thoughts with affirmations.
βSeek the Self by meditation in this manner:
TRACE EVERY THOUGHT TO ITS ORIGIN WHICH IS ONLY THE MIND.
NEVER ALLOW THOUGHT TO RUN ON.
If you do, it would be unending.
Take it back to its starting place again and again and the mind would die of inaction.
Go back constantly to the question
βWho am I?β.
TEAR EVERYTHING AWAY UNTIL ONLY THE SOURCE OF ALL IS LEFT.
And then live always in the present, only in it.
There is no past or future except in the mind.β
– Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
Born again.
βPeople are afraid to die, because they do not know what is death. The jnΔnΔ« has died before his death, he saw that there was nothing to be afraid of. The moment you know your Real Being, you are afraid of nothing! Death gives freedom and power. π»π ππ ππππ ππ πππ πππππ

Director’s touch.
“Life is like a movie. The director never appears on screen, but the actor has to stay in tune with him to play the role. Similarly, the director of this world is unseen & meditation is our link to be in touch with the Divine.” – sri sri
Senses beyond senses
ββHe who knows Brahman to be the life of life, the eye of the eye, the ear of the ear, the mind of
the mindβhe indeed comprehends fully the cause of all causes. By the purified mind alone is
Brahman perceived.ββ

Love Self, not Yourself.
“Your constant flight from pain and search for pleasure is a sign of love you bear for yourself, all I plead with you is this: make love of your self perfect. Deny yourself nothing – glue your self infinity and eternity and discover that you do not need them; you are beyond.”

Chant anyway.
βYour mind is wandering all over the universe when you chant.
Chant anyway!
Your mind is wandering to the past and future when you chant.
Chant anyway!
You are not able to concentrate on Krishnaβs names while you chant.
Chant anyway!
You have no taste for chanting.
Chant anyway!
You have lusty desires.
Chant anyway!
You are making offenses in chanting.
Chant anyway!
You are not praying to Krishna to help you
chant better.
Chant anyway!
You often chant late at night.
Chant anyway!
So WHY?
Why should you chant despite all the above obstacles?
This is why:
There is no vow like chanting the holy name, no knowledge superior to it, no meditation which comes anywhere near it, and it gives the highest result.
No penance is equal to it, and nothing is as potent or powerful as the holy name.
Chanting is the greatest act of piety and the supremes refuge.
Even the words of the Vedas do not possess sufficient power to describe its magnitude.
Chanting is the highest path to liberation, peace, and eternal life.
Itβs the pinnacle of devotion, the heartβs joyous proclivity and attraction and the best form of remembrance of the Supreme Lord.
The holy name has appeared solely for the benefit of the living entities as their lord and master, their supreme worshipful object and their spiritual guide and mentor.
Whoever continuously chants Lord Krishnaβs name, even in his sleep, can easily realize that the name is a direct manifestation of Krishna Himself, in spite of the influences of Kali-yuga.
Bhaktivinode Thakurβs Saranagati (quoted from Adi Purana).
Surrender to God…
βLord, my hands and feet are working for You. You have given me a certain part to play in this world, and everything I am doing in this world is for You.β Surrender yourself to God and you will find that your life will become like a beautiful melody. If you try to do everything in the consciousness of God, you will see with joy that every day He is choosing certain duties for you to perform.
